"Cooking is about emotion. I want my cuisine to be a caress, not a slap."
— Anne-Sophie Pic
Biography
Born in Valence, France in 1969 into a legendary culinary dynasty, Anne-Sophie Pic initially pursued management studies before returning to the family restaurant in 1992. After her father's death and losing their third Michelin star, she took control of the kitchen in 1997 — without formal culinary training. Through sheer determination and a unique culinary philosophy she calls "Suffusion," she regained the three stars in 2007, becoming only the fourth female chef to achieve this distinction. Today she holds 10 Michelin stars across her global restaurants.
